The Prop Theory (1938):  This one of the thories for a structure of a narrative film. It was established in the early twentieth century.
This thoery involves these methods:

-Preperation (a member leaves home or sets off on a quest)
-Complication (The villan harms the member of the family)
-Transference (The hero leaves home)
-Struggle (The hero and villian join in direct combat)
-Return (The hero returns)
-Recognition (The hero is recognised and rewarded)





The Todorov Theory (1954): This is the second theory for a narritive film structure it involves the following methods:
- Equilibrium
-Disruption
-Recognition of distruption
-Attempt to repair disruption
-A return or restoration of new equilibrium


DISPATCHER: a character who makes the lack known and sends the hero off
